JOYCE EESLEY

Joyce's love of nature and gardening has greatly influenced her choice of subject matter.  She has been drawn to the complexity of nature, its beauty and the delicate live cycle of all living things.  Her artwork has preserved a moment that nature cannot hold onto.  She considers her realistic portrayals of observed forms in nature a continual process of self-expression and growth.  Her choice of medium is watercolor because of the subtlety of the medium, immediacy of results, endless possibilities, and variations that can be achieved.

Joyce obtained a BS in Art Education from Alverno College and recently retired from teaching art in the local schools to devote more time to creating art.  Art has always been her passion. She has been in numerous juried outdoor art fairs and galleries throughout the Midwest for the past twenty-five years.  Joyce was represented in several one-person exhibits and won awards in various juried group exhibits.  Lake Country Gallery in Pewaukee represents Joyce's art.  Besides being a member of League of Milwaukee Artists, Joyce is a member of National Watercolor Society, Wisconsin Painters and Sculptors, Transparent Watercolor Society, West Allis Art Alliance, Wisconsin Watercolor Society, Milwaukee Sketch Club, A/C Art Association, and Saint John Pallettiérs.
