2008 DOWNER AVENUE PREMIER PLEIN AIR PAINTING COMPETITION

May 23 - June 1, 2008

 

CALL FOR ARTIST REGISTRATION:

NEED NOT BE AN LMA OR WP&S MEMBER TO JOIN THIS EVENT

2008 DOWNER AVENUE PLEIN AIR PAINTING COMPETITION, Milwaukee, WI. -  May 23 through June 1.  Artists paint anytime in designated outdoor area, May 23 – May 30.  A juried exhibition, silent auction and reception will follow on May 31, with an open sale June 1.

AWARDS:  The Best of Show award is a purchase award of $1,500. This award winning painting will be used in next year’s publicity. 

Second Place - $750, Third Place - $400, and other merchandise awards as well.

QUICK PAINT AWARDS:  First place $200, second place, $125, and third place, $75.

Each artist will contribute 30% of the proceeds from sales of their paintings to A.W.E., Artists Working in Education.  Artists will retains 70%.
