Alongside her new body of oil painting ,"Mists: Mammoth and Miniature", Judith Reidy will be doing live studio painting demonstration in the
Griffin Gallery during the Oconomowoc holiday gala event from 7 to 9 pm. This new work is a result of extending her pastel mist series into a new medium of oil. She has work from her 40 paintings in 40 days on display as well as larger studio pieces developed from her Plein air explorations.

Her desire to connect her work to her genuine spiritual inclinations have propelled the explorations in light and dramatic tonal color in this body of new work. As the imagery has grown more abstract and dreamlike, the strength of her vision has become more compelling to her and those who have been engaged with this new direction. There is a raw freshness that is disclosed in this work that beckons the view to ask the hard questions.
