JOINING THE LEAGUE OF MILWAUKEE ARTISTS

New Member Jurying

On April 18, 2009, The League of Milwaukee Artists will be jurying in new members. Those who wish to apply need to bring to Mount Mary three 2-D original artworks, properly framed, with an artist statement and bio". These will be accepted by league members in Halfaer Hall:

12:30-1:30 Drop off of art at Halfaer Hall.

1:30-3:30 Paintings will be judged.

3:30-4:30 Artists will return for pick-up

The League of Milwaukee Artists juries for new members once a year in spring.  Our constitution states a cap of 150 members and we maintain that number, openings are created when members discontinue their membership.  

Prospective members must present three pieces of original two-dimensional art, properly framed and suitable for hanging, along with an artists statement and bio.  Artwork should be indicative of the artists current style and content.  Composition, technique, presentation and a thoughtful, innovative approach to subject matter are evaluated.  The League of Milwaukee Artists accepts two-dimensional original artwork only, no photography, sculpture or crafts.  Questions may be directed to info@leagueofmilwaukeeartists.com
